I've been at the same situation, I remember a book I had to read for a class and I just read some sort of pages, because I felt it was boring. After the school year ended I read that book and I liked it a lot.

That's exactly what I meant. But it becomes a habit. You'll see how in the future, no matter if you 'have' to read 100 books at the same time or not, you'll never read just one at a time again.
