I really wanted to read What Casanova Told me but as I have other things to read I left it aside. However, as the topic was still in my mind I decided to rent Casanova. And as Marie Antoinette was around I rented it too. I guess my weekend in going to be very vintage, haha. But as there must be a balance I'll be reading Life of Pi the story of a boy, a tiger and a boat, so postmodern.

I have to fix my car because today I crashed. Nothing serious but voluminous.

Congratulations Élika!

So your weekend is going to be very "in movies"... ;)

As I've told you I don't know Life of Pi, but I didn't suppose it is a postmoderm story.
That quotes you posted seemed to me very different.
The most recognizable aspects of postmodernism in literature are irony, playfulness, black humor...
a sense that life is lived in a world with no transcendent warrant, nothing to guarantee or to underwrite our being as meaningful moral creatures. Life just is. We no longer look for a pattern. We live between the 1's and the 0's, in the interstices of meaning; we live on the bleak terrain of an endless uncreated happenstance universe. We may celebrate its specificity, its immediacy; or not.
Well Postmodernism goes different directions here.
But I'm not an expert...
So...

Seeker: the critics say it's postmoderm and we have to believe them, haha. I find parody and other postmodern characteristics. However, the book is lovely and I highly recomend it. You know, enc recommends it too.

Élika: I hope we can meet before you go. Well, we have to because I have to give you back your books but I'd like us to have a nice chat.

Romeika: I looooooove Marie Antoinette.

Mel: no te preocupes, Nana está incluida en los planes. De verdad me ha gustado mucho. Y eso de reunirnos con Lili a echar chisme me parece perfecto.

Marie Antoinette is a visually lush film. I think that a lot was left out of the plot, though.

I'm sorry to hear about your car, I hope it and you are okay!

I love Marie Antoinette!

Since I don’t know the book I was just speculating with the quotes you’ve written eheheheh
But with your elucidation you made me see the other point of view.
So maybe the critics have reason ahahahahahahahah *laugh loud*.
I know you’re enjoying it.
Good for you.
Have a nice weekend end.
