new members of the family
Please notice how much I am denying myself to write the paper that I have to deliver tomorrow. I've just writen a few pages, but, unfortunately I've lost concentration. So, in order to take fresh air, I came to show you my last purchases which were made last week but until now, I had the time to show them.
both with heels.
both with heels.
question
It is incredible how we deny ourselves to open our eyes and see the actual nature of things. Is it because we are incapable of seeing the "truth" or is it because we already know that we won't we able to handle that truth so it is easier to deny it?

reporting
I'm sorry that I've not been able to post but I've been busy.. with school, you know me. And as I'm in the confesing mood I should informed you that I'm completely obsessed with the movie Devil wears Prada. Don't ask me why. All I'm going to say is that it makes me laugh and that's exactly what I need these days. And don't you love the opening song.. it simply makes me smile.
My room is a complete desaster and Mona is dirty, again. But weekend is coming and no matter what, I'm going to see Dalí.
Also, I can't wait for Sex & the City premiere. I'm dying to see it.

Monroe moment
When I was younger, everytime I saw this picture I thought it would be very sexy to be in a situation like that. However, things do not turn out to be as one imagine. Today, I was walking down the street wearing a black skirt when suddenly the wind blew really hard. It took me by surprise so I had to hold my skirt as fast as I could. Luckily I manage to keep my underwear undercovered and had a funny time. Being a girl is so complicated.

complicated pair of jeans
I got these pair of jeans that I don't know how to wear. I'm not entirely sure about them but I think they work for this strange weather. I've been trying some combinations but as I said before, I'm not sure. What do you think?
Oh God! homework is taking away my creativity. By the way, I got a nice day at school.

colors of the season
Lately, I've been paying too much attention to what other girls are wearing and by doing this I've notice that there are a couple of colors that, simply, look amazing. I don't know if these are the colors of the season and actually, I don't care. Girls have managed to wear them in incredible ways and they have given me excellent ideas.
eeeh! I have clothes with these colors! And I'll buy more, ha. And just for the record, things at school are going well.
Nice weekend

I'm sorry
I'm sorry because I haven't been able to post. The thing is that I have a lot of things to read and a lot of papers to do. I promise I will be back as soon as possible. In other matters, it seems that the weeks to come are going to be full of action so now I'll just keep working and do as much as possible in order to relax sooner.
Well, let me tell you that when this year started I wanted to go to a wedding (don't ask me why, I just felt like that) But nobody I knew was engaged so I forgot about the idea. However, I received an invitation from a cousin who is getting married in 15 days. I want to go but the big issue is that I don't know what to wear. But I won't worry because I'm sure that some kind of shopping is coming, eeeeh! Another thing is that the sweater is almost done. I'm so proud of me.
Don't you love the flowers. The hoody is not mine but I'll love to have one

plans for today
I had a perfect plan for today. First I was going to go to the Franz Mayer Museum, then, I was going to Dali's exhibition- and take a lot of pictures because I love him. Afterwards, I was going to do some shopping. First to The Body Shop and then to Pull & Bear. Off course I would have to take a rest so I was going to drink a cup of tea in a place nearby and read. Later, I was planning to knit while watching The O.C and at night I was going to the movies. But, when I woke up, I realized that I had a lot of "scholar things" to do. And that actually I made all those plans in order to avoid my responsabilities. And I also realized that lately I've been avoiding school, a lot. I have only five weeks left and school is over...over! However, before the end I have to deal with papers, readings and exams. So I have to focuss.
It doesn't mean that I won't see the sun for the next weeks but I have to balance my activities. It doesn't matter how hard I try to avoid those things, I have to do them anyway but I have to do them properly.
So, I stayed home, I cleaned my bedroom, did some reading, watched t.v and went to the movies. I'll do the other things I want to do but just one thing per day. Actually I'm planning to go and play gotcha and deal with my preoccupations firing to people, haha. The end is coming so school should be a priority. I don't want to worry too much but I just can't help it.

150 posts and the wife of Bath
This is post number 150, eeeeeh!
You asked about the Wife of Bath so, here it is.
Chaucer describes her in his prologue:
A good wife there was, from near Bath,
But she was somewhat deaf, and that was too bad.
Of clothmaking she had such a talent,
She surpassed that Ypres of Ghent.
[...]
Bold was her face, and fair and red of hue.
She was a worthy woman all her life:
Husbands at church door she'd five,
Not counting other company in youth-
but we need not speak of them right now-
A thrice had she been to Jerusalem.
She had crossed many a foreign stream:
To Rome she had been, and to Boulogne,
In Galicia to Saint James, and to Cologne;
She knew much of wandering along the road.
Gap-toothed she was, the truth to say.
Upon an easyriding horse she easily sat,
Wimpled well, and on her head a hat
as broad as is a buckler or a targe;
An overskirt about her hips large,
And on her feet a pair of spurs sharp.
She was full of laughter and of gossip.
Of love remedies she knew by chance,
For she knew the steps of that old dance.
The Wife of Bath belongs to the Canterbury Tales written by Chaucer in the 14th century. In the tales, Chaucer, was going to Canterbury and he meets these people in an inn. So, one night, as far as I remember, all of them tell stories. Stories that correspond to their personalities. The wife of bath tells a story of a man that in order to save his life has to solve a riddle: What do women want? An ugly lady offers to help him if he marries her. And if you want to know what happens next read the story. Many people considers her story quiet simple compared to her prologue because in it she tells her life. A quiet interesting life.
I guess she knew what she wanted. And she has other qualities that I admire, haha. Some feminist consider her an early feminist. She moves by herself in that male world. Nice.
